The Prym Omnigrip non-slip ruler (art. no. 610210) is a patchwork ruler with an inch scale, measuring 6 x 12 inches. You use it to measure and cut fabric for sewing and quilting in inch measurements.

The special green colour of the markings on the underside stops the ruler slipping on the fabric. This lets you guide a rotary cutter or a pull knife along the ruler more safely. The scratch-resistant laser print on the underside rules out optical distortion, so you can read the measurements accurately.

Cutting with the ruler

Place the ruler on the fabric so that the line for the measurement you want sits exactly on the fabric edge or on your marking. Hold it in place with your hand laid flat, keeping your fingers well away from the cutting edge. Then run the rotary cutter along the edge of the ruler with even pressure, moving away from you. For diagonals and corners, use the 30°, 45° and 60° angle lines.

Which size to choose

The rectangular 6 x 12 inch format suits strips and cuts up to 6 inches wide. For square blocks, the range also includes rulers in 6.5 x 6.5 inch and 12.5 x 12.5 inch.
