Prym Boxer Shorts Elastic 20 mm – woven elastic for threading through or sewing on

Prym Boxer Shorts Elastic is a woven elastic band in off-white that you thread through or sew onto boxer shorts and other close-fitting clothing. The card contains 1.5 m, 20 mm wide.

The band is made of 60% polyester and 40% elastodiene and, according to the manufacturer, is 100% stretchy. The woven construction means it keeps its shape when stretched. It is washable at 40 °C and suitable for tumble drying, so you can care for the finished garments as normal. The band is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.

Using the elastic

For a casing, thread the band through with a safety pin or bodkin. Alternatively, sew it onto the inside hem. It is best to measure the length on the body or against a well-fitting pair of trousers. The band should be slightly shorter than the waist measurement so that it sits snugly on the body. Overlap the ends and sew them firmly together.

Choosing the width

Prym offers this elastic in 20 mm and 30 mm widths. The 30 mm version is a separate item.
