Prym half-moon shoulder pads XL in white – shaping the shoulder line for set-in sleeves

The Prym half-moon shoulder pads in size XL are white sew-in pads that shape and define the shoulder line on set-in sleeves, for example on knitwear, jackets and blazers. You get 1 pair (2 pieces) on a retail card.

The pads are sewn in between the lining and the outer fabric, so they are not visible from the outside. The cover is made of 100 % polyester and is washable up to 30 °C, so you can still care for the garment regularly. The white colour suits light fabrics; for dark fabrics the pads are also available in black.

Inserting the shoulder pads

Before sewing, place the pads in the shoulders to try them out and pin them in position. Both sides should sit in the same place so that the shoulders look identical later. Then sew them in between the outer fabric and the lining, for example by hand at the shoulder seam, before you close the lining. Try the garment on before you sew everything in place for good: with size XL and a height of 17 mm the padding is quite pronounced, and on fine knitting or thin fabric it may show.
