Prym Raglan Shoulder Pads – Oval Pads for Dropped-Shoulder Sleeves

The Prym raglan shoulder pads in M-L shape the shoulder line on dropped-shoulder sleeves in knitwear, jackets and blazers. The oval shape gives the shoulders a rounded silhouette and emphasises feminine proportions. The set contains 2 pads in white.

The pad has a hook tape, so it sticks by itself to fluffy garments such as knitwear. The loop tape supplied, which you sew into the garment, gives extra hold. The cover is made of 100% polyester and, according to Prym, keeps its shape in a gentle machine wash.

Attaching the pads

For fluffy fabrics such as knitwear, the hook tape on the pad is enough: place it against the shoulder on the inside and it sticks by itself. For smooth fabrics, or if you want more hold, sew the loop tape supplied into the shoulder seam or onto the inside of the garment so that the pad sticks to it. Before sewing it in, hold the pad against the shoulder on the inside and check on the body that the fit and curve are right.

Which size and colour?

This set is size M-L in white. In the Prym range, the shoulder pads come in three colours and three sizes. Choose a colour that will not show through light-coloured fabric.
