Clover Pom-Pom Maker Extra Small – make 20 and 25 mm pompoms

With the Clover Pom-Pom Maker Extra Small (art. no. 3127) you wind small yarn pompoms without cutting out cardboard discs. The pack contains 2 makers, and according to the manufacturer the finished pompoms measure approx. 20 mm and 25 mm in diameter. This size suits details such as bobbles for baby hats, charms, garlands or decorations on gifts.

The body is made of ABS resin and polypropylene, and the pin is made of stainless steel. After winding, you open the arms one at a time and take out the finished pompom.

Making the pompom

First align the arms. Then wind the yarn firmly and evenly around the arms and cut it through in the gap between them. Next, tie the centre tightly with sewing thread or yarn, using a double knot. Finally, open the arms one at a time, take out the pompom and fluff it into shape.

Common mistakes and sizes

Wind the yarn so that the middle part of the inner arm stays slightly visible. Winding too tightly or too much can spoil the result and damage the tool. For larger pompoms, Clover offers other sizes, such as Small, Large and Jumbo.
