Super Bobs Soft Collection – 25 pre-wound cotton bobbins for patchwork and quilting

The Super Bobs Soft Collection is a set of 25 pre-wound bobbins of 2-ply cotton thread, which you use in your sewing machine as bobbin thread for patchwork and quilting. Each bobbin holds 80 yds, which is approx. 73 m. The bobbins are already wound, so you save time on winding and can carry straight on sewing when you change colour.

Cotton bobbin thread suits the cotton fabrics commonly used in patchwork and quilting. The top thread and bobbin thread then have similar properties.

Using the bobbins

Take a bobbin from the set and insert it into the bobbin case or bobbin holder of your machine, just like a bobbin you have wound yourself. Thread the end through the tension following your machine's instructions and bring the bobbin thread up as usual. For quilting, this means you can sew larger projects without stopping to wind a bobbin, because when one bobbin runs out you simply insert the next.

Will the bobbin fit your machine?

The bobbins are Class 15, a common bobbin type for domestic sewing machines. Not every machine uses it. Before buying, check in your machine's manual whether it takes Class 15 bobbins. You should not use these bobbins in machines designed for other bobbin types.
