The Super Bobs Bright Collection is a set of 25 pre-wound class 15 sewing machine bobbins with 2-ply cotton thread, intended for patchwork and quilting. You get 25 colours, each with 80 yds (approx. 73 m) of thread on the bobbin.

As the bobbins come ready wound, there is no need to wind them yourself. You simply insert a bobbin and carry on sewing. This saves time, especially on projects where you change colour often, such as quilts made from many different fabrics. With a total of 2,000 yds (approx. 1,829 m) of thread in the set, you have a wide colour palette for many small and medium-sized projects.

Will the bobbin fit your machine?

The bobbins are class 15. Before buying, check in your sewing machine manual or on the bobbin you currently use whether your machine takes this type of bobbin. Other bobbin types differ in size and shape and do not run smoothly in the hook.

Using the bobbins

The bobbin sits in the bobbin case of the machine and supplies the bobbin thread. Choose the colour to match the top thread or the fabric on the back of your work. In quilting the bobbin thread is often visible on the back, so it is worth choosing the colour deliberately. Before starting the actual project, sew a short test piece on scrap fabric and check the thread tension, especially if you change the top thread.
