Prym Push Lock Bag Clasp 26 mm, Silver Colour

Prym Push Lock Bag Clasp 26 mm – Retro-Style Bag Fastener

The Prym push lock in silver colour is a bag fastener for homemade bags, such as a shopping bag, laptop bag, school satchel or nursery bag. The metal bolt holds securely in the lock and is easy to open and close with a press of the finger. The metal is rustproof, and according to Prym the fastener works reliably even with heavy use.

The lock consists of four parts: the upper and lower sections are each attached with prongs. Instructions on the back of the card show you how to fit it. At 26 × 35 mm, it is an understated classic that gives any bag a retro look.

Fitting the push lock

Mark the position of the upper and lower sections before fitting, so that the bolt later engages in the centre of the counterpart. Then push the prongs of the two parts through the bag fabric as described in the instructions on the back, and secure them. With soft or thin fabrics, iron-on interfacing at the fixing point helps to stop the fabric from tearing.
