Madeira Cotton Soft – soft tear-away embroidery stabiliser for machine embroidery

Madeira Cotton Soft is a light, soft tear-away cotton embroidery stabiliser. You place it under the fabric when machine embroidering. According to Madeira, it stops the fabric from puckering during embroidery and the fabric edges from curling. The stabiliser is intended for all fabrics and weighs 50 g/m².

The roll, 10 m long and 30 cm wide, comes in a reusable box with a click fastener. This keeps the stabiliser clean, and you can cut the length to suit each embroidery design.

Working with the stabiliser

Cut a piece that overlaps the embroidery hoop all the way round and hoop it together with the fabric. After embroidering, carefully tear away the excess stabiliser. Hold the embroidery in place with one hand and tear in small steps so the stitches do not come loose. For embroidery with many dense stitches, it is better to cut the stabiliser away around the design rather than pull it.
