Madeira SUPER FILM – heat-soluble embroidery film for badges, logos and lace

Madeira SUPER FILM (no. 9448) is a heat-soluble, perforated specialist embroidery film made from 100% polyester. You can use it for badge embroidery, logos and embroidering lace. There is no need to wash the film out: after stitching it is torn away, and any remnants are melted away with an iron.

As no water is involved, SUPER FILM also lets you embroider water-sensitive fabrics such as velvet, which you may not want to treat with a water-soluble stabiliser. The roll measures 30 cm × 5 m, which gives 1.5 m² of embroidery area. It comes in a storage box with a click closure.

Working with SUPER FILM

The perforated film replaces washing out: you stitch, tear it away along the stitches and simply iron away the remnants.

• Hoop the film like an embroidery stabiliser and stitch the design.
• Tear or cut away excess film cleanly along the perforation.
• Melt away film remnants with the iron. Move the iron in circles and do not leave it standing in one spot.
• Set the iron to 2 dots; if necessary, carefully increase to 3 dots.

When is SUPER FILM suitable?

The film is suitable for work where only the embroidery should remain at the end, such as badges, logos and lace. For delicate fabrics, make a test piece first so that you can test the ironing heat on the material.
