Graine Créative crochet kit – animal baskets with wooden bases

Graine Créative crochet kit: animal baskets – two baskets with pre-drilled wooden bases

With the Graine Créative crochet kit, you crochet two storage baskets in a bear or frog design. Ears, eyes, a muzzle or frog features give each basket its own face. Choose your design from the options.

The wooden bases are pre-drilled, which makes the kit a good introduction to crocheting in the round. The finished baskets hold toys, craft supplies, yarn, baby items or other small things. One basket has a diameter of approx. 20 cm, the other approx. 15 cm. This lets you store larger and smaller items separately.

Starting with the wooden base

The holes in the wooden base take the place of the starting ring: you crochet the first round directly through the holes, so you do not have to insert the hook freehand. This keeps the stitches even and the base flat. Place the stitch marker at the start of the round so that you keep track as you crochet in the round. The exact stitch counts and steps are given in the pattern supplied.

Which basket for what?

The larger basket, approx. 20 cm in diameter, suits toys, yarn or craft supplies. The smaller one, approx. 15 cm in diameter, takes cosmetics, baby items or odds and ends. The safety eyes are intended for the basket's face.
