Wooladdicts FIRE by Lang Yarns is a super chunky knitting yarn for jumpers, cardigans, scarves and home accessories with a bold stitch texture. According to the manufacturer, it is made of 98 % virgin wool (merino extrafine, mulesing-free) and 2 % polyester, and has a superwash finish. The superwash finish makes care easier, as you do not have to wash your knitted pieces exclusively by hand.

With approx. 75 m per 100 g and 9 mm needles, your knitting grows quickly. That suits large projects such as oversized jumpers or chunky scarves. With such a thick yarn, cables, rib and other textured stitch patterns stand out clearly. Choose your colour from the options.

Quantity and tension

The length of approx. 75 m per ball helps you plan quantities: for a women's jumper in size M allow approx. 800 g, i.e. about 8 balls, and for a men's jumper in size M approx. 1000 g, i.e. about 10 balls. The actual amount needed depends on the pattern. The ball band gives 9 stitches and 13 rows over 10 × 10 cm on 9 mm needles. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide.

Care

Wash FIRE knits with wool detergent and without fabric softener, as the manufacturer recommends. Please also follow the care symbols on the ball band.
