Deco Stitch 70 Set Col. 1 – decorative stitch thread with a raised stitch effect
The Gütermann creativ Deco Stitch 70 Set Col. 1 contains 10 spools of decorative stitch thread, 70 m each, for decorative seams on a domestic sewing machine. The set combines plain spools with multicolour spools with a colour gradient. The thread is 100% polyester, triple-twisted and has a silky sheen. Thanks to its evenly round cross-section, decorative stitches and topstitching have a raised effect.
Gütermann has matched thickness No. 70 to the stitch density of decorative stitches on domestic sewing machines. With a total of 700 m in the set, you can complete several projects in different colours. Set Col. 1 is one of several colour assortments in the range; Col. 3 contains only colour gradient shades.
Using the decorative stitch thread
Use Deco Stitch 70 as the needle thread. For the bobbin thread, Gütermann recommends a sew-all thread to keep the seam neat and stable. Thread a universal needle NM 90–100 and select a decorative stitch or a topstitch on your machine. Test the stitch pattern and thread tension first on an offcut of the fabric you want to sew.
Suitable fabrics
Gütermann recommends the thread for light to medium-weight clothing and furnishing fabrics as well as for leather, faux leather, felt and similar materials. You can use it to decorate clothing, home textiles and accessories. The multicolour spools with a colour gradient give the seam a lively play of colour, while the plain spools show the structure of the stitch pattern more clearly.
