TOPP Granny Squares Crochet Cards – 50 Motifs with Photo and Crochet Chart

The Granny Squares crochet cards from TOPP (frechverlag) are a card set of 50 crochet motifs to lay out, mix and crochet. The front of each card shows the finished granny square as a photo, and the back gives the matching crochet chart. You will find motifs for blankets, cushions, bags and other projects that can be put together from granny squares.

The box also contains a booklet. It explains the most important crochet techniques and the symbols used in the crochet chart, and gives advice on choosing colours and joining the squares.

Working with the cards

Lay several cards side by side and try out motifs and colour combinations before you make your first stitch. Once you have decided, crochet from the chart on the back. If you do not know the symbols yet, look them up in the booklet. Use the same yarn and the same hook size for all the squares in a project, otherwise the squares will come out different sizes and will be harder to join. Yarn and hook are not included in the set.
