Rico Design Paper Poetry A4 Kraft Paper Pad – two weights in three shades of brown

The A4 kraft paper pad from the Paper Poetry range by Rico Design contains 30 sheets of uncoated kraft paper for cards and crafts. The pad is a mix: 10 sheets are 110 gsm, while 20 sheets are noticeably thicker at 270 gsm. The sheets come in three different shades of brown.

Kraft paper is a natural product, so slight variations in colour are possible. According to Rico Design, the paper is suitable for handmade cards, invitations, greetings cards and similar projects.

Which weight for what?

The 270 gsm sheets are sturdy enough for card bases, invitations and tags that need to stand up or be held without backing. The thinner 110 gsm sheets are easier to fold, cut and punch. Use them, for example, for inserts, envelopes or for layering onto cards. This way you can combine both weights in one project without having to buy two pads.

Folding tip

Thicker paper cracks more easily along the fold. Score the fold line first with a bone folder or the blunt side of a pair of scissors, then fold. This gives a clean edge and stops the paper from tearing.
