The Canson XL Marker Pad is a semi-transparent, very white and very smooth paper for layouts, storyboards, illustrations and graphic work with markers. The pad contains 100 sheets of 70 gsm each. Choose the size from the options.

According to Canson, a barrier keeps the ink on the surface so that it does not bleed through the paper. This gives you even coverage and good colour reproduction. The paper is suitable for all kinds of felt-tip pens, including alcohol-based and solvent-based markers.

Working with marker paper

Because the paper is semi-transparent, you can place a preliminary drawing under the sheet and trace it with the marker. This keeps your layout clean, and you do not need to erase the sketch. The very smooth surface gives crisp lines. As the barrier keeps the colour on the surface, transitions can be blended softly into one another. Placing a spare sheet underneath also protects the next sheet in the pad.
