Herbin glow-in-the-dark ink – invisible in the light, glowing in the dark
Herbin phosphorescent ink (art. no. 13690T) is a glow-in-the-dark ink for reed pens and brushes. On paper it stays invisible in the light. Once it has been charged by light, it glows green in the dark.
The ink is not suitable for fountain pens. Because of its high particle content, it should only be used with a reed pen, a calame or a brush. The 30 ml come in a glass bottle.
Working with the glow-in-the-dark ink
Shake the bottle well before each use so that the luminous particles are evenly distributed in the ink. If the ink settles in the bottle, the writing will glow less brightly. Apply it with a reed pen, a calame or a brush and let the writing dry. To glow, the writing must first absorb light. Hold it briefly under a lamp or in daylight, then switch off the light.
Things to bear in mind
Because the writing is invisible in the light, you can barely see what you are applying as you write. It is therefore worth making a test sheet first to judge line width and spacing. It is best to check the result in a darkened room.
