Goldfaber Aqua Dual Marker Portrait – 6 water-blendable brush pens with fineliner tip

The Portrait set from Faber-Castell contains 6 water-based dye markers with two tips: a soft, flexible brush tip for painterly work and a metal-cased fineliner tip for outlines and details. The colours 114, 116, 186, 195, 281 and 283 range from soft pink through apricot to terracotta and sand.

The colour can be fully blended with water. According to the manufacturer, the marker gives a streak-free finish, does not bleed through the paper and is odourless, acid-free and pH-neutral. This makes it suitable for watercolour effects, sketches, calligraphy and colouring in.

Working with the markers

You can work dry or wet. Use the brush tip for areas and soft gradients: apply the colour and blend it with a water brush until the edges merge. Use the fineliner tip to draw outlines beforehand or to add fine details at the end. Because the colour is water-based, it can run into the drawing when blended. Test on a scrap of the paper first to see how much it dissolves.

The Portrait set is a ready-made palette of 6 colours. If you need more choice, you can add further Goldfaber Aqua Dual Markers. The caps and barrel are made from recycled material and may therefore differ slightly in colour from one another. The colour of the ink is not affected.
