The Goldfaber colouring pencil set from Faber-Castell contains 24 different colours in a metal tin. You can use it for drawing and colouring at school, as a hobby and in art. The lead has a diameter of 3.3 mm, is soft and lays down colour richly and evenly.

The lead is smudge- and water-resistant and lightfast. A finished drawing therefore stays clean when you run your hand over it, and the colours do not fade quickly. The Secural bonding holds the lead firmly in the wood, so it is less likely to break when the pencils are knocked or dropped.

Working with Goldfaber colouring pencils

The soft lead is suitable for quick sketches, lively hatching and smooth blended transitions. For blends, lay down the lighter colour first with light pressure and work the darker colour over it. If you build up the colours in several thin layers, they mix on the paper and the lead wears down more slowly. The pencils can be sharpened with any standard sharpener. Sharpen the soft lead with a sharp sharpener and without pressure so that the point does not break off.

Which set size to choose

With 24 colours you have enough choice to mix shades yourself, side by side and on top of each other, without missing any basic colours. The series is also available as a set of 12 and a set of 48 pencils. The smaller set is suitable for getting started, the larger one if you need many fine intermediate shades.
