Sakura Gelly Roll Moonlight – 12 gel pens with bright colours for dark paper

The Sakura Gelly Roll Moonlight set of 12 consists of 12 gel pens for drawing, doodling and painting. It contains ten Moonlight colours, five of them fluorescent, plus a transparent Stardust gel pen and a gel pen in Basic White.

The pens use a water-based pigment gel ink for bright, intense colours. The ink is creamy, smooth and opaque, and according to Sakura the ink flow stays constant even without pressing on the pen. This means you can draw long lines and fill areas evenly without pressing hard.

You get one pen in each colour. The numbers help you when buying individual colours again.

Which paper suits the pens?

The Moonlight pens write well on white paper, but show their strength on black paper, where the colours stand out particularly strongly. The fluorescent colours also glow under blacklight, which is interesting for posters, cards or lettering with a glow effect. You will see the white pen (50) mainly on dark paper. Before starting your actual design, make a short test stroke on the paper you want to use, and let lines dry before drawing over them or smudging them.
