Prym brass safety pins – rust-free for sewing, quilting and patchwork

Prym No. 4 safety pins are gold-coloured brass pins, 57 mm long, for sewing, quilting and patchwork. You can also use them for all sorts of everyday jobs. The pack contains 12 pins.

According to Prym, the pins are extremely rust-resistant. They can therefore stay in the fabric for longer, for example if you leave a quilt sandwich pinned together for several days. The slim points go in easily and are gentle on the fabric. Thanks to the balanced spring action of the brass, the pins keep a firm closure even with frequent opening and closing.

What the pins are used for

When quilting and doing patchwork, you use the pins to hold layers of fabric together before you sew them in place. At 57 mm long, they also hold several layers. The burr-free, polished surface lets the pins glide smoothly through the fabric.

How to use them

Insert the pin where you will sew later or where the seam will be hidden, and close it straight away. Space the pins evenly so that the layers do not shift. If you also want to secure fine fabrics, pick up only a few threads of the weave so that no holes are left.
