Prym Safety Pins Black Steel 27/38/50 mm, Pack of 18

Prym Black Safety Pins – 18 Pins in Three Lengths

The black Prym safety pins (art. no. 085121) are an assortment of 18 steel pins for pinning, tacking and holding fabrics and textiles together.

The pins have a rust-protected coating and come in three lengths: 27, 38 and 50 mm. That way you have the right pin to hand for fine and thick layers alike. According to Prym, the closing cap is burr-free, without sharp edges, and the points are ground slim so that they pierce the fabric easily. The assortment is suitable for sewing, quilting and patchwork, and for everyday use.

Which length for which use?

The length depends on the thickness of the fabric and the number of layers. Use the 27 mm pin for thin, fine fabrics, the 38 mm pin for medium-weight fabrics, and the 50 mm pin for several layers or thicker materials, for example when tacking a quilt. For fine fabrics, choose the shortest pin that holds securely so that you do not put unnecessary strain on the fabric.
