Rico Design felting needle holder with 7 needles – felt faster

The Rico Design felting needle holder (felting tool) with 7 needles speeds up needle felting: each stab works a larger area than a single needle. The blue plastic holder takes 7 needles, and 7 felting needles are included. It suits large felted pieces where you want to tangle wool fibres quickly and evenly.

The needles are interchangeable, and the holder takes fine, medium and coarse felting needles. This lets you match the needle size to your project, for example coarse for quickly shaping a body and fine for the surface.

Felting with the holder

Place the wool on a foam pad. It catches the needles as they pass through and protects both the needles and your table. Then stab the holder straight into the wool with an even up-and-down motion. Avoid tilting it sideways so that the needles do not break. Keep your fingers away from the stabbing area, as 7 points are more likely to injure you than one.

Holder or single needle?

For larger areas, basic shapes and firm results, the holder saves time. For fine details such as faces or small contours, a single felting needle is still the better choice, as it lets you work with pinpoint accuracy.
