Folia Zauberwald Felt Mobile Kit – sew your own felt mobile

The Folia mobile kit “Zauberwald” (art. no. 22859) is a 14-piece sewing kit for making a felt mobile yourself. It contains a wooden mobile star, eight felt sheets in different colours, three embroidery threads, a nylon thread and stuffing. Instructions and a pattern sheet are included, so you do not have to design anything yourself.

All the parts are made from the felt: you transfer the patterns, cut them out, sew them, stuff them and attach everything to the mobile star. Felt does not fray at the cut edges, so you do not need to finish the edges. That makes the kit manageable even if you have done little sewing.

Making the mobile

Transfer the patterns from the pattern sheet onto the felt by pinning them in place or drawing around them, then cut out the pieces. Sew two pieces of felt together at the edge, leaving an opening for stuffing. Stuff loosely so that the shape stays soft and the seams do not strain, then close the opening. Finally, attach the finished pieces to the wooden mobile star. The included instructions show the exact order and arrangement.
