Prym sew-on press studs 15 mm – a discreet fastening, even on fine fabrics

Prym sew-on press studs (art. no. 347106) are clear snap fasteners made from shatterproof plastic. You can use them to fasten clothing, bedding, cushions and accessories without the fastening showing: being clear, the studs take on the colour of the fabric.

At 15 mm in diameter and very light, they also suit fine, lightweight fabrics such as silk or blouse fabric, where heavy metal press studs could cause the fabric to bag. The pack contains 6 studs.

Sewing on the press studs

Each press stud consists of two parts, which have to meet exactly when fastened. First mark the position of both parts with a pin or tailor's chalk, on clothing ideally with the garment fastened.

• Sew on one part first: pass the thread several times through each hole and secure it at the end with a few stitches.
• Fasten the closure, transfer the position to the opposite side and sew on the second part in the same way.
• Pull the stitches tight, but not so tight that the fabric puckers around the stud.
