Prym eyelets with washers 11 mm – for lacing, decor and crafts

Prym eyelets with washers (art. no. 542540) are made of rustproof brass. You can use them for lacing, clothing, home décor and craft projects, or simply as a decorative feature. The pack contains 20 eyelets with washers. Choose your colour from the options. The inner diameter is 11 mm, which matters if cord, ribbon or elastic is to pass through.

You can fit the eyelets with the Prym Vario Creative Tool (390903). The tool is not included.

Fitting the eyelets

Mark the position and make a hole in the material to suit the eyelet. Insert the eyelet from the front, place the washer on the back and press the two together with the tool. Press firmly enough that the eyelet can no longer turn. This helps prevent it from tearing out when the fabric is later pulled taut. On thin or stretchy fabrics, a reinforcement of interfacing at that spot helps.

Which size to choose

With an 11 mm inner diameter, the eyelets suit thicker cords and ribbons. Prym also offers the eyelets with washers in 14 mm, and smaller sizes are available for finer work. Choose the diameter according to the material that will run through the eyelet.
