Prym Jersey Snap Fasteners 10 mm – No Punched Hole in Thin, Stretchy Fabrics

The Prym no-sew jersey snap fasteners in copper (art. no. 390119) are press studs for thin and stretchy fabrics, such as those often used for baby and children's clothing. You get 10 copper-plated brass fasteners, Ø 10 mm.

The advantage: no hole is punched. The integrated prong ring only pushes the fabric aside, so the fibres are protected. The fasteners are rustproof and, according to Prym, can be washed, spun, cleaned, ironed and mangled.

Fitting the snap fasteners

A snap fastener consists of several parts, which are pressed together from both sides of the fabric with the tool. The prong ring grips the woven or knitted fabric without piercing it. The 10 mm size can be fitted with the VARIO pliers or the Prym tripod. According to Prym, fitting is particularly easy with the VARIO Creative Tool and the Jersey tool set (673 134).

The jersey snap fasteners are made for thinner and stretchy fabrics. Try them out on an offcut of your fabric before use, so you can see whether hold and fit suit your project.
