Prym Hooks and Eyes No. 13 – Sturdy Fasteners for Bodices and Corsets

Prym hooks and eyes No. 13 (art. no. 261550) in silver colour fasten bodices, corsets and basques, garments that are under tension when worn. They are made of rustproof brass with a silver-coloured coating. According to Prym, they are burr-free, so the edges stay smooth. The hook is rounded so that it is comfortable to wear even in direct contact with the skin. The sewing loops are curved at the sides, which makes them easier to sew on.

Each pack contains 6 pieces on one card. Size No. 13 is the large version. Prym also offers these hooks and eyes in black.

Sewing on hooks and eyes

Sew the hook and eye on through the loops with strong thread, ideally doubled. The hook goes on one edge and the eye on the opposite edge. Stitch through each loop several times and secure the thread well, as bodices and corsets are under constant strain when worn. Space the fasteners evenly so that the tension is distributed evenly.
