Wooden Box with 2 Compartments 14.5 x 11 x 7 cm, to Paint

Wooden Box with 2 Compartments – Untreated Blank to Decorate

This wooden box with two compartments is a blank made of untreated, smoothly sanded natural wood, which you can paint, cover or decorate as you like. At 14.5 x 11 x 7 cm, it holds jewellery, beads, craft supplies or small keepsakes, and the two compartments keep them separate. The lid opens on a hinge and closes with the metal clasp.

The size also suits a tea box or a small gift box that you decorate yourself.

Decorating the box

As the wood is untreated, it takes paint directly. For decoupage or napkin techniques, first apply a light base colour, otherwise the colour of the wood will show through thin napkins. Mask the hinge and metal clasp with tape before painting so that no paint runs into the fittings. Pyrography is also possible on the wood. Let each coat dry completely before you close the lid, so that it does not stick.
