Creativ Company Scandinavian Christmas Gnome, Wood, 16 cm

Wooden Christmas gnome to paint and decorate

The Scandinavian Christmas gnome from Creativ Company is a wooden blank to paint or cover with paper for your Christmas decorations. It is 16 cm tall, has a diameter of 6 cm, a round nose and a long Christmas hat. You can decorate the pale, untreated wood however you like.

The gnome can be painted or covered, for example with paper, napkins or Décopatch paper. For covering, you need a suitable adhesive. At 16 cm tall, it stands out well on a windowsill, shelf or Advent table. You can decorate several gnomes in different colours and display them as a group.

Decorating the gnome

Untreated wood absorbs paint. With a base coat of white acrylic paint, the colours will then look more opaque and even. Here is how you can go about it:

• Apply a thin coat of primer to the gnome and let the paint dry completely.
• Paint the large area of the hat and the body first, then the nose and details.
• Alternatively, cover the hat or body with paper or a napkin motif and seal the surface with glue or varnish.
• Let each layer dry before applying the next so that nothing smudges.
