At 0.30 mm, the wire is thin enough to shape by hand and sturdy enough to hold beads, flowers or small decorative pieces. You can wind it tightly around round rods to make spirals, use it to bind beads or twigs together, or shape delicate pendants.

Working with fine wire

Cut the wire with side cutters, as scissors quickly go blunt on it. For spirals, wind the wire tightly and evenly around a round rod or a thick needle, then slide the coils off. When threading beads, leave some length at both ends for twisting or wrapping. Try not to bend the wire back and forth repeatedly in the same place: copper wire hardens as a result and may break.
