Rayher Styropor solid heart, 9 cm – white polystyrene blank for crafting

The Rayher Styropor solid heart is a white polystyrene (EPS) blank, 9 cm in size, for painting, covering and decorating. The smooth surface can be finished in many ways: you can paint the heart, pin sequins into it, needle felt it with felting wool or cover it with fabric and rhinestones. It is light, so it can also be hung up or used as a topper on wreaths and floral arrangements.

According to Rayher, the material is also suitable for children because of its nature and light weight. Typical uses include Valentine's Day, wedding decorations and handmade gifts.

Decorating the Styropor heart

Polystyrene is sensitive to solvents: they dissolve the material. Use solvent-free glue and test paints or sprays first on an inconspicuous spot. To attach sequins and rhinestones, pin them in place or glue them on. When needle felting, work the felting wool into the surface with the felting needle; do not stab too deep, so that the needle does not go through the heart.
