The Rayher Styropor® torso (art. no. 3316700) is a white figure, 25 cm tall, which you can decorate however you like. According to Rayher, the smooth surface is suitable for painting with all-purpose or craft paint, covering with fabric or rhinestones, embroidering with sequins and needle felting.

At 25 cm tall, the torso is a handy size for decorative pieces, miniature shop displays or craft projects on the table. It is not intended as a dressmaker's dummy for fitting clothes. For a stable stand, Rayher offers the small wooden stand (art. no. 6143500, 16 cm tall) as a separate item. It is designed for this torso and is not included.

Decorating the torso

Polystyrene is sensitive to solvents: spray varnishes, solvent-based paints and solvent-based glues can dissolve the surface. Use water-based craft paint and a glue suitable for polystyrene. Apply the paint in thin layers and let each layer dry to keep the surface smooth. For needle felting, push the felting needle through the wool into the polystyrene until the fibres hold. Work on a mat and do not push the needle in deeply.
