Décopatch PappArt Brontosaurus papier-mâché dinosaur, 29 cm

Décopatch PappArt Brontosaurus – papier-mâché blank to decorate

The Décopatch PappArt Brontosaurus is an untreated papier-mâché blank in the shape of a dinosaur. You can decorate it with paper and glue using the Décopatch technique, or paint it with acrylic or poster paints.

The figure is cardboard brown, approx. 29 cm long and 8 cm deep. It belongs to the PappArt Form: Tiere range. At this size it works well as a decorative figure on a shelf or windowsill.

Decorating the Brontosaurus

Tear or cut your paper into small pieces. Brush glue onto one area of the blank, lay a piece of paper on top and brush over it again with glue, working from the centre outwards. The pieces may overlap slightly, which gives a closed surface with no brown gaps. Once dry, you can add details such as eyes or patterns with acrylic or poster paint.

Paper or paint?

The brown papier-mâché may show through thin, light-coloured papers. In that case, prime the blank first with light acrylic paint. If you only want to paint the dinosaur, that also works on the untreated surface.
