Décopatch PappArt Elephant 17 cm – Papier-Mâché Figure

Décopatch PappArt Elephant – Papier-Mâché Figure to Decorate

The Décopatch PappArt Elephant (art. no. SA108O) is a handmade brown papier-mâché figure for decorating. You can cover it with Décopatch paper, paint it with acrylic paint, add glitter or stickers, or leave it in its natural brown kraft look.

At 21 × 12 × 17 cm, the figure is big enough for patterns and motifs, yet still fits on a shelf or windowsill. Each figure is handmade and therefore one of a kind.

Decorating the elephant

For the paper technique, tear Décopatch paper into small pieces, brush glue onto the figure bit by bit and lay the pieces on so that they overlap slightly. Torn edges are less noticeable than cut ones. Then smooth the paper from the centre outwards to avoid wrinkles. Once dry, a coat of varnish protects the surface.

Other ways to decorate

Instead of paper, you can paint the elephant with acrylic paint, decorate it with glitter or stickers, or simply leave it in the kraft look.
