Textured terrain mat, brown gravel, 75 x 100 cm roll

Textured terrain mat, brown gravel – cut to size, 75 × 100 cm roll

The textured terrain mat in brown gravel is a structured mat for creating terrain in model making. You cut it to the size of your area and glue it onto wood or paper. It measures 75 × 100 cm and is supplied rolled.

The brown gravel look suits paths, open areas and patches of earth on model railway layouts, dioramas and landscape models. The mat is made in Germany.

Using the mat

Unroll the mat before cutting and leave it lying flat for a while so that it relaxes. Then transfer the shape of your area onto the mat.

• Cut the mat to size with scissors or a craft knife
• Check the fit on the base
• Spread glue on the base (wood or paper) and press the mat on
• Press down the edges and leave the glue to dry

Choosing between versions

The mat is also available in "grey ballast". Brown looks more like an earth or farm track, grey more like classic track ballast or road gravel. Test the glue on an offcut first, so that you can see how it bonds to the back of the mat.
