Rayher jump rings 4.6 mm – connecting rings for jewellery parts

Rayher jump rings (art. no. 2231522) are small round connecting rings in silver colour, 4.6 mm in diameter with 1 mm wire thickness. You can use them to join individual jewellery parts such as eye pins, ball head pins and clasps into necklaces, bracelets or pendants.

The bag contains 20 rings. According to Rayher, the rings release no nickel in line with EN 1811. This matters if you make jewellery for people with a nickel allergy. The colour is silver, but the rings are not real silver.

Opening and closing the rings

The rings can easily be opened and bent shut again with jewellery pliers. Open the ring sideways so that the ends slide against each other, rather than pulling it apart outwards. This way it keeps its round shape and closes neatly. Then attach the pendant, chain or clasp and press the ends flush together again. Using two pairs of pliers, one on each side of the gap, gives the most precise result.
