Beadalon black neoprene rubber tubing – hollow tube for jewellery cord

The rubber tubing from Beadalon is a hollow neoprene tube in black, 2.5 mm in diameter. It comes as a 5 m roll. You can use it as a cord for hanging a pendant, a charm or a special bead, or you can slide it over memory wire or other jewellery cable. This gives the cable a thick, sturdy sleeve.

At 5 m long, you can cut several necklaces or bracelets from one roll. It is best to plan the length in advance, as material cut too short cannot be lengthened.

Using the tubing

As a hanging cord, cut a piece to the length you want for the necklace and thread on the pendant or bead. Make sure the hole of the bead is larger than 2.5 mm, otherwise it will not fit on the tubing. As a cover, slide the tubing over memory wire or jewellery cable to get a thicker, even base for bangles or necklaces.
