Rayher oval jump rings, silver colour – for joining charms and chain links

Rayher jump rings are small oval rings in silver colour, used to attach charms or eye pins to chain links. You will need them for handmade jewellery, for example necklaces, bracelets or bag charms.

The pack contains 22 rings. They measure 7.7 × 5.3 mm and are made from wire 0.8 mm in diameter. With 22 pieces you have enough for several connections and a few spare rings in case one slips while you are bending it.

Using the rings

To open and close them, use two pairs of pliers, such as combination pliers and snipe-nose pliers. Grip the ring on either side of the opening and twist the ends sideways in opposite directions, rather than pulling it open outwards. This way it keeps its shape and closes neatly later. Then hook on the charm or eye pin and the chain link, and twist the ring closed again.

Choosing the colour

The jump rings are also available in gold colour. Choose the colour to match your chain links and charms, so the connection does not stand out.
