SUKI curved screw hooks, galvanised – 7 pieces with wood thread

SUKI screw hooks are curved hooks with a wood thread, which you screw straight into wood and on which you can hang cords or chains, for example. The set contains 7 pieces in size 40 x 3.0 mm. The surface is galvanised.

The wood thread cuts its own way in as you screw it into wood, so the hooks can be fitted directly as a fixing in wood. Size 40 x 3.0 mm is the largest of the three variants in this series, which is also available in 20 x 2.0 mm and 30 x 2.6 mm.

How to screw in the hooks

Mark the spot and, in hard wood, pre-drill with a drill bit slightly thinner than the core of the thread. This stops the wood from splitting. In soft wood, a starter hole made with an awl is often enough. Position the hook and screw it in by hand. If it becomes stiff, place a screwdriver in the curve and use it as a lever. Do not keep turning by force, otherwise the hook may bend or the thread may tear out of the wood.
