The natural pheasant tail feather is a long feather from the common pheasant, for craft projects and decoration. At approx. 60–70 cm long, it adds a striking accent to carnival costumes, hats or other DIY projects. You receive 1 feather.

The feather shows its natural markings and colouring. It is also available in orange if you are looking for a stronger shade.

Uses

Because of its length, the feather shows to best effect when it stands up freely or sticks out to the side, for example on a hatband, a headband or a costume. It can also be used as a single feather in a tall vase or as an element in decorative arrangements.

Attaching the feather

The feather holds best at the quill. You can wrap it with floral wire, fix it with hot glue or sew it in place. If you want a shorter feather, trim it at the lower end of the quill, not at the vane.
