With the Städter iron embossing cookie cutter, you cut iron shapes from dough, fondant or marzipan. The pre-embossing gives each iron an added texture. The cutter is made of stainless steel and measures 8 cm, and suits biscuits, cake decorations or small gifts with a household or craft theme.

It also works for crafting: with modelling clay, salt dough or Fimo, you cut evenly shaped irons for pendants, magnets or gnome decorations. According to the manufacturer, Städter stainless steel cutters are rustproof and food-safe.

Getting a clean embossing

Roll out the dough evenly and press the cutter firmly and straight down into it. If the dough or fondant is sticky, lightly dust the edges beforehand with flour or icing sugar, and the iron will release cleanly. For biscuits, doughs with little raising agent keep their embossing better because they hardly rise during baking. Chilled dough spreads less.

Once you have used a cutter for Fimo, salt dough or other craft materials, do not use it for food afterwards.
