Städter Flamingo embossing cookie cutter – shaping dough, fondant and marzipan

The Städter flamingo embossing cookie cutter (art. no. 161160) in stainless steel cuts flamingos out of dough, fondant or marzipan and embosses the motif at the same time. You can also use it for crafts and modelling with modelling clay, salt dough or FIMO.

The cutter is rustproof and spot-welded. According to the manufacturer, it is food-safe and dishwasher safe. At 7.5 cm, the flamingo suits biscuits, cakes and tortes, as a pendant or as a gift decoration. Städter stainless steel embossing cutters are available in other motifs.

Getting a good embossing

Roll the dough out evenly and not too thin, so the embossing has depth. Press the cutter straight down into the dough and carefully release the flamingo. If the dough or fondant is sticky, a little flour or icing sugar on the cutter helps. Shortcrust dough with little raising agent keeps the embossing best during baking, as it barely rises. Chilled dough cuts out more cleanly.

For crafts and modelling

You can also use the cutter to cut out and emboss salt dough, modelling clay or FIMO, for example for pendants or gift decorations. Once you have used a cutter for this, do not use it for food again.
