da Vinci HOBBY Paint Brush Set Series 5268, 3 Flat Brushes

da Vinci Paint Brush Set Series 5268 – three flat brushes for hobbies and model making

The da Vinci HOBBY paint brush set Series 5268 contains three flat brushes from Series 304 in sizes No. 4, No. 8 and No. 12. You can use them to apply paint over an area, working on craft projects and models from narrow edges to larger surfaces.

The brushes have elastic synthetic fibres that keep their shape. The ferrule is seamless and rustproof. The short, varnished wooden handles sit comfortably in the hand and let you work close to the piece.

Which brush for which job?

The three sizes cover typical tasks. With a flat brush, you lay down even areas of colour with the broad side and straight lines with the narrow edge.

• No. 4: small areas, edges and steps, for example on models
• No. 8: medium areas and base coats for craft work
• No. 12: larger areas that you want to paint quickly and evenly

Applying the paint

Dip only the fibres into the paint and wipe off excess paint on the rim. Paint in one direction and let the paint dry before applying a second thin coat. This gives a more even result than one thick coat. Rinse the brushes with water straight after painting, especially with acrylic paint, which dries in the brush and glues the fibres together.
