The da Vinci series 11543 jagged brush is a multi-head brush for decorative textures, nature motifs and effects. Several heads of golden-coloured synthetic fibres sit side by side in silver ferrules with stainless steel mounts. With a single stroke you make several marks at once, which helps you put your ideas on paper faster. The handle is a short, natural-lacquered wooden handle.

Working with the jagged brush

Pick up only a little paint and apply all the points evenly. Then draw the brush across the surface in a single stroke without pressing hard. For grass, blades or water lines, move it straight or in a slight curve; for wood grain or waves, move it gently back and forth as you draw. Too much paint makes the marks run into each other, and the individual lines then lose their definition. Wash out acrylic paint before it dries in the fibres.
