YKK VISLON zip 55 cm – open-ended, light and sturdy
The YKK VISLON zip, 55 cm long, is a 1-way open-ended zip with plastic teeth for jackets, ski suits, sportswear and motorcycle clothing. The teeth are injection-moulded and fixed firmly to the tape. This makes it lighter than a metal zip of the same length, yet still sturdy.
Tape and teeth are colour-matched (tone on tone), so the zip looks discreet on the jacket. Choose your colour from the options.
Choosing the length and sewing it in
Measure the opening of your jacket before buying and choose the matching length. In this series, the 55 cm zip is available alongside other lengths up to 110 cm. Pin or clip the tape in place before sewing with a zip foot. Plastic teeth are sensitive to heat: do not iron directly on the teeth, only on a low setting over a cloth.
