Artemio Embossing Set – Ball Tips and Embossing Needle for Relief Work

The Artemio embossing set (art. no. 18003047) contains four embossing tools: three styluses with two ball tips each and one embossing needle. You can use them to emboss metal paper and paper in 3D technique, and the set is also intended for clay projects.

The six ball tips measure between 1.2 and 3 mm. The small balls draw fine lines and add details, while the large ones shape broader lines and areas.

How to emboss metal paper and paper

Place the material face down on a soft surface and trace your design with a ball tip. It appears on the front as a raised relief. A stencil or a drawn template helps you keep the lines even. Work with light pressure and increase it gradually, as thin metal paper tears easily if pressed too hard. With the embossing needle you can make dots and perforated patterns. It is pointed, so handle it with care.

Which ball size for what?

The ball tips are arranged in pairs on the three styluses. Small balls suit outlines, tendrils and details. Larger balls emboss broad lines and fill areas, so the relief looks softer and more rounded. Try the sizes out first on an offcut to see how deep and wide the embossing will be.
