With the BeadSmith ring sizer you can work out the ring size of a finger before you buy, make or order a ring. The set contains 29 rings from US size 1 (12.37 mm) to US size 15 (23.9 mm). The half sizes in between are included too: 15 whole sizes and 14 half sizes make up the 29 rings.

How to find your ring size

Try the rings on the finger in question until one slides over the knuckle and sits at the base of the finger with slight resistance. The ring must pass the knuckle, but should not come off again without some effort. It is best to measure later in the day, as fingers are often slimmer in the morning and in the cold than in the evening or in the warmth. Also check on both hands whether you fall between two sizes: in that case, the half size helps. For a wide ring, choose the larger size, because it fits more tightly than a narrow one.

Using the set

If you make rings yourself, transfer the US size you have measured directly to your ring blank or mandrel. If you are giving a ring as a gift, you can place the recipient's ring on the sizing rings to compare and find the size that way.
