Efco metal hand drill bit – for fine holes

The Efco metal hand drill bit is a small drill bit, 90 mm long, for fine holes, for example in ArtClay. You clamp the single bit in a small chuck and drill small holes by hand, such as for pendants or hanging loops.

The 9 cm length is easy to handle and control when you are working on small pieces of jewellery. 1 piece is supplied.

Drilling fine holes

Clamp the drill bit firmly in the chuck so that it does not slip as it turns. Position it vertically and turn evenly with light pressure. With modelling clays such as ArtClay, drilling is easiest while the piece is still unfired. Also keep a little distance from the edge so that the material does not break away.
