Meyco Sanding Sponge 70 x 100 x 25 mm, coarse and fine

Meyco Sanding Sponge – for wet and dry sanding, with a coarse and a fine side

The Meyco sanding sponge sands wood, soapstone and other materials by hand. It measures 70 x 100 x 25 mm and has a coarse side and a fine side. This lets you first remove material and then smooth the surface without changing tools.

The sponge is suitable for wet and dry sanding and adapts to curves and edges, where rigid sandpaper is hard to apply. You can wash it out and use it several times.

Sanding with the sponge

Start with the coarse side if edges or uneven areas need to be removed, then switch to the fine side for finishing. For soapstone, wet sanding works best: the water binds the dust and the surface becomes evenly smooth. Sand wood along the grain to avoid cross-grain scratches. After wet sanding, rinse the sponge and leave it to dry so that no sanding residue builds up.
